The late-breaking deadline is designed to capture truly significant, groundbreaking research with results that were not available at the time of the regular abstract submission deadline. The research should be novel and substantive and have the potential to impact primary care practice. The committee will review and select a maximum of 6-10 late-breaking abstracts for paper or panel presentations in the late-breaking sessions. This is a highly competitive process and the selections are not guaranteed.
The top-scoring abstracts selected for oral late-breaking presentation will be included in the February 2025 issue of ASTCT’s journal, Transplantation. Top-scoring abstracts that are not selected for an oral late-breaking session will be considered for a poster presentation. If accepted, the presenter will be required to submit slides to the session moderators AND upload a final version of their slide before the meeting. These deadlines will be communicated if the abstract is accepted. To be eligible to present a late-breaking abstract, the author must have an ASTS and/or ASTCT member account (first or last author) and complete a Conflict of Interest Disclosure. The presentation is contingent on the Presenting Author completing all Conference registration and financial disclosure by Tuesday, June 17. The cost of the printed poster, travel/hotel accommodations and fees are the responsibility of the authors. If accepted, a copy of the full paper will be published in the “HCII 2025 – Late Breaking Papers” Springer LNCS volumes of the Conference Proceedings. Please see the separate page for publication policies.
